At the September meeting the subject of workshops for future meetings was broached. The concensus was that “professional development” type workshops were needed. However, this was big topic for a 5 minute discussion, and deserving of considerable thought.
The bottom line was “Exactly what workshops were members needing?” Please give the matter some thought and write back. Besided the subject matter the question of whether quickie meeting presentations or more lengthy weekend session were appropriate (and be attended).
“Story Time Puppets”
Using audience participation and percussion, the puppets delight the young and the young at heart. Some of the puppet shows teach lessons from Aesop’s fables. Other shows focus on bullying, literacy’ and conflict resolution, such as “The Three Billy Goats Gruff”, “The Three Pigs of Piggyville” and “The Lion & the Mouse”. “Story Time Puppets” have appeared several times on the local television show, “Show Me St. Louis”.
“Papa” and Jackie are recipients of one of St. Louis Magazine’s 2007 A-List Awards for Best Storytime.
Programs are appropriate for ages 3 and up.
Do you do birthday parties and How much is that?
Thanks!!
Christiane
