The program for the January meeting is “How to Write a Puppet Show From Variety to Drama.” This is based on a booklet Tom sells of the same title. Tom will highlight a variety of techniques to build and structure the stories. The same techniques apply to both drama and variety.

The Puppet Guild of Greater Saint Louis will present PuppetFest 2011 at the Buder Branch of the Saint Louis Public Library.
At 10:00 a.m. Ginny Weiss’s Puppets on Hand will present her show “The World of Aesop” featuring the fables of ”The Lion and the Mouse,” ”The Fox and the Grapes,” “The Donkey in the Lion’s Skin,” and “The Country Mouse and City Mouse.”
At 10:45 a.m. there will be a puppet making workshop conducted by Michelle O’Donnell and Stan Gulick.
Following that, there will be a second puppet show at 11:30 a.m. where Pat Breithaupt’s Salt ‘n’ Patter puppets will present “The Brementown Musicians.”

See a Puppet Show - Make a Puppet with your Child - And Ride the Carousel
The Peppy Puppet Troupe will present their version of Goldilocks and the Three Bears in the Carousel Building at Saint Louis County Faust Park on Friday, Sep. 30, 2011, at 9:30 am.
The Performance will last approximately 30 minutes. After the show, everyone will get to ride the Saint Louis Carousel. After enjoying their carousel ride, parents will have the opportunity to make puppets with their children. Puppeteers Jackie Wright, Ginny Weiss, and Pat Breithaupt will guide and assist parents in creating their puppets.
The all inclusive tickets for the event is $5 advance and $6 at the door.
